Created based on the study and research of original sources on traditional clothing from various ethnographic regions of Ukraine, this collection involves the interpretation and redefining of traditional cuts, decoration techniques of embroidery and jewelry. It emerged from a desire to convey the beauty, richness, wisdom, and skill of our tireless women, whose craftsmanship rivals that of world art.
The term “rooting” encompasses concepts such as “growing into the soil,” “taking root,” “strengthening,” and “being rooted” — which implies longevity. Rooting represents a movement, a process that brings life. Thus, something that is well-rooted becomes the foundation for the formation of our spirituality, values, worldview, and identity.
This foundation, which roots us in the past, becomes the driving force and concept behind the new collection. Using modern materials, methods, and processing capabilities, we create something new while preserving the spirit, significance, and sense of belonging. It is essential to craft an image that honors the memory of generations, remains distinctly Ukrainian, and yet feels contemporary. We aim to blend fashion trends with the rich complexity of folk costumes, capturing all the nuances and conveying them effectively.
